Back in the House is a documentary about nightclubbing in NYC filmed in the mid-90s, and featuring footage in many famous underground venues, including original footage from Sound Factory, Limelight, Red Zone, Palladium, Arena, Webster Hall, Vinyl, Champs, Life, Tunnel, Twilo, Club USA,  and CentroFly.

Farid Slimani, a south of France middle of nowhere small town Toulon between Marseille and Saint Tropez, was 19 years old and an avid clubber when he came to NYC  for a school stage on a 10-day excursion. Half-pro, half-amateur in terms of film, he decided to document his discoveries in New York nightlife and, later, developed the concept that became Back In The House. 20 years later, Slimani aka Dj Hedi resurrected the project, using the original 90s footage that hed kept in his bedroom, and completed the movie a first-hand audiovisual account of NYC underground club life in the mid-90s, through the eyes of a young French clubber taking his first bite of the Big Apple.

Featuring interviews with Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Joe Claussell, François K, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Dimitri From Paris, Terry Hunter, Juan Atkins, Roger Sanchez, Roy Davis Jr, DJ Sneak, Maurice Fulton, Byron Stringly, Ultra Nate, Kerri Chandler, Armand Van Helden and Steve Silk Hurley to name but a few, 'Back in the House' is arguably the most in-depth documentary about the New York clubbing scene ever made.
